Reviewing the SBC-18

The SBC-18 collar is handy for those who are on the look out of a humanist solution to stop the relentless barking of their dog. It has a lot of advanced features, which include 18 progressive levels of correction and detection of barking with both sound and vibration sensors, as well as adjustability for neck sizes that range from 6 to 28 inches.

The ‘Test Collar’ feature enables you to test the working of the no bark 18 collar. Put the collar in “Test” mode, have it at a distance of 6-10 inches away from you and utter the word ‘test’ into the sensor. There should be a LED light flashing, indicating that the first level of static shock correction has been activated.

The collar always starts correction with the lowest level of static intensity, and it goes up to the next one automatically if the dog barks again within 30 seconds. However, the auto-shut-off feature that comes with the no bark 18 collar shuts down the unit for 3 minutes if your dog continues to bark for more than 15 times within 50 seconds.

Use the SBC-18 at times when you don’t want your dog to bark. The increasing statics corrections that are given progressively will distract the dog and keep it from barking. The corrections are always mild and painless, making it  a safe and harmless way to train your dog.

Features of The SBC-18

The most popular features of the collar are the number of correction levels it provides, resistance to water and bad weather, a test mode that will save you trips to get it fixed, and a limited guarantee.

The SBC-10 comes in a cool looking, modern orange color.

Using The SBC-18

The collar isn’t recommended for dogs that are too agressive. Do not use any other collar or object at the same time that the dog wears the SBC-18. That includes tethers or strings that might accidentally activate the collar. Do not make your dog wear this collar for more than 8 hours per day. Finally, don’t make your dog wear the collar too tightly in order to avoid rashes.
