Any dog that is bored needs to spend more time on walks, more time playing, and more time from you. You don't want your dog to be constantly shocked just because it is bored.

One of the best ways you can stop your dog from barking is to make a noise that distracts your dog from what it is barking at. Some people like to do this by putting something in a cane or bottle and then shake it. It might be just as effective to blow a whistle or squirt water towards it.
