I’ve found from experience that regular run-of-the-mill hydrogen peroxide is good at getting out stains that are organic in nature. Most animal stains come right up if you pour on some peroxide on it, let it sit for a while, and then blot it up. This works for things like blood or grass stains, too.
Normal 3% peroxide shouldn’t bleach your carpet. It’s what’s in detergents with color-safe bleach alternative.
I use that powdered oxy stuff you can get in the tub in the laundry section. I mix two scoops of it with a full spray bottle of water. Let it sit overnight (It will foam and expand so don’t fill the bottle all of the way). It gets everything I have ever tried to get out…..out. It is amazing stuff. It looks like the link below but is cheaper and it says Oxy Versatile.
Oxy might make that area lighter but it will come out with lots of rinsing. It is only lighter due to the detergent, not bleached.

Peroxide is a bleaching agent so be careful.
